Gnarly Head - Authentic Red 2013

Our foray into the world of twisted reds all through October has led us to this delightful find - Gnarly Head - Authentic Red, 2013. This is a delicious blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah and a "splash" of Malbec - so I really could not go wrong! I love a blend, and this gnarled smash up did not disappoint!!

Very fruity, even jammy in aroma, with hints of oak and a whiff of chocolate. Oh the tongue, it is a smooth rush of delicious berries - strawberry, cherry, blackberry, and more!! Tempered by some really great oak, this comes across as not overly sweet, but certainly very sippable. Excellent value!
